I would venture to say that a LOT of people are in the same boat.
I've been a ruler on BT throughout the entire invasion. I have no clue what's
going on currently with the daimons. I would like to know. There have been
several coalitions of rulers and realms that have hoarded information and
attempted to use it for their own ends. Many, many rulers were suspicious that
everyone else was siding with the daimons, and as such refused to share any of
their information with some other rulers. It didn't help that some of the rulers
that vocally were against the daimons were some of the rulers that were
actually using daimons as shock troops to wipe out their ancestral enemies, or
federated/allied to those realms.
Changes in rulers over the course of the invasion also lost lots of information, I
think. I can't even count the number of times a new ruler came to the ruler's
channel on BT and said something like "Hi, I'm new here, can someone tell me
everything that's been happening witht he invasion? I really don't know
anything because XXXX never told us/I wasn't paying attention." So there goes
an entire realm's worth of people that have no idea what the invasion was all
about.
And then you have the rulers on BT who told the other rulers one thing, and
told their realm something else entirely. Then that ruler dies/quits and the
people in the realm suddenly find out that everything they've been told is false.
If part of the plot idea for the invasion was to sow confusion and distrust
amongst the anti-daimon realms, then that part, at least, succeeded. In spades.
Personally, I think the clues needed to be more frequent and more blatant.

Appreciate me now, and avoid the rush.
