[Discuss] Donation end/handover

Hi all,

Wasn't sure if this info is written down anywhere already, so thought 
I'd ask here.

When you donate, you have the option to have a fourth character.  What 
happens when the donation period comes to an end?

- do you lose a character, or have one paused?  If so, which one?
- if you then donate again at a later date, is it restored to you?

And if you wish to continue donating, is there a particular time you 
need to do this by, in order to make sure that your extra character does 
not suffer as a result?

Presumably if you donate more before the initial donation period is 
finished, the extra is added to what you already have, so you can donate 
when you still have four weeks to go, and you don't lose those four weeks?
