Other people have mentioend the whole Titans aspect of this issue: If
you just couldn't play for 24 hours and you got banned as a result,
then that's against the rules, and you should report it. Knowing some
of the players involved in this issue, even though I know next to
nothing of the circumstances of it, I would shocked to no end to
learn that this was truly the case.

However, there is another thing to consider. The following example
comes from my recent personal experiences in another case, and has
*nothing* to do with this one. Maybe it's applicable to you, and
maybe not.

The game doesn't stop because someone has trouble keeping up, whether
its because they lost interest, don't have time, or lost their
connection. It keeps on moving, period. I don't mean that if they
can't log in every 4 hours to check their messages that they should
be banned/exiled. What I mean is that if they have a position, and
them not doing their job causes problems, then they should expect to
get fined/banned because of it. If they are a region lord and they
have no knights, bad estates, stats suck, and it's been this way for
months, then expect to get banned. If they are the judge and
infiltrators never get banned, prisoner agreements never get
followed, all region maintenance is suffering from lack of
organization, and it has been doing so for months, then expect to get
protested out of office.

While it *is* unfair for a realm to ban a noble for inactivity, it is
unfair for a single player to constantly make other people wait for
them to do their job. People want to move on and play the game. If
someone is given a reasonable, or more than reasonable, amount of
time to respond or get things done and they just don't get it done,
eventually people will just get tired of waiting.

You have a right to play the game at your own pace, and no one will
deny that. But if you do your job poorly, whatever that job is, then
other characters have a right to be dissatisfied with your IC
performance, and take IC action based on that dissatisfaction. So
long as appropriate consideration is given for your possibly playing
at a slower pace, or being away for the weekend, etc., then there
should be no problems at all with them taking IC action to resolve
the IC problem.
