Subject: Re: [Discuss] exile and positions
The King might have an army but it would never be big enough to enforce
of removing a Lord/Duke from it's place. I can get he would exile aka
cut the Lord/duke from the realm.
So I'm ok with the feature. Afterall the King can ask his other lords to
help in taking back the region if it changed allegiance.

Well, looks like we need a clarification on the issue. According to
this: http://wiki.battlemaster.org/index.php/RP_Primer
"Monarchs were without peer in terms of social, political, and economic
rank. The Royal We was used as a token of respect, but it also had a
very literal meaning. Kings were more than simply a noble who had been
crowned; they became the personification of their realm and embodied it
in all things. The King of England was not just (for example) Edward III
du Plantagenet, but also England itself. This is the source of many
social conventions as well as legal ones, e.g. 'an attack upon the King
is an attack upon England itself.'"
Being without peer in economic rank pretty much means the king should be
able to raise the largest army in the realm and thus be able to give a
beat down to a duke. Yes, it might be a drawn out war but the king
should have the advantage. Right now a king has jack nothing and to
even have an income he has to hope people send him money. No land, no
income and nothing more then threats that have to be backed up because
the king spends his days sucking up to everyone.
Yes, there is power in having friends but at some point there needs to
be power given to the position as well. As of now the biggest threat a
king could make would be to declare a war on someone... Which doesn't
mean squat either since simply changing the status effects very little.
Sure is good to be king, huh?
