[Discuss] Lords as Priests

Hey,

I have a Duke character who I want to change to priest. But I heard from 
some people that if I change him to priest then he looses his region. 
Isnt that silly?

Priests can be Lords but Lords cant be priests without loosing their region?

I would be extremely happy if someone (read: Tom) would say that Lords 
can change to priest and keep their region. Especially city.

PS: I am *not* talking about founding a religion!
