Yeah, I just tried the same thing as psymann (as a banker) and I got
"As long as you are a government member of your realm, you are a knight of 
the Crown."

It's seems to work on Belu though, I had this same problem with my (then) 
General with the same text response. But we tried again a few days later and it 
worked fine.
