As he neared, Skye's heart begun to race. This was it, all the monsters 
and undead she'd faced meant nothing. She was one of the best 
swordfighters on the continent but she was going to be killed here and 
now by Arbin.

She jerked backwards as he pulled out a rose which tumbled to the 
ground. As she bent to pick it up they brushed slightly. She begun to 
feel light headed and smiled weakly at Arbin,

"Thankyou, its beautiful"

"I have something for you also" she said shyly, reaching into the folds 
of her gown to a discrete pocket retrieving a rough volcanic rock. Arbin 
scowled slightly.

"Wait" Skye instructed, and rotated the rock to where it had been cut, 
revealing a hidden core of diamond gem.

"The jewelers were going to free the diamond from the Kimberlite, polish 
it and make it into jewelery. I have been told it is unusually clear and 
valuable, but I preferred it how it is. It reminds me that value is not 
always on display but sometimes hidden"

She felt uncertain but held the gem tentatively towards Arbin,

"I want you to have it if you want it"
