He was back.

Lek did a little jig around her camp, startling those of her men who saw her.

He was coming.

She hugged herself to still the sudden trembling, and dropped down by the campfire, her burst of joy muted again. In a matter of days, she would see him again. And he didn't know her. What if she couldn't make him remember? What if he remembered and hated her? What if he took the sword and walked away?

Lek thought long and hard about how far she would go to get him back, and how much of her pride would she have to sacrifice. And whether she could live if she failed.
