Roleplay from Lek Kindon

Elrdred found his lady standing on deck, gazing out at the smudge of
land on the horizon that drew ever closer. “Milady, I…”

“El! Look at it! New lands for us to conquer—a new world where we can
make our mark!”

He looked at her, discomfort evident on his boyish features. Lek and
Sennianus had spent the journey ensconced in their cabin, and this was
the first time El had laid eyes on his mistress since they had boarded
the vessel in Ikalak. Lek glanced over at him, her exuberance dimmed by
the look on his face, “Oh, El. I know that it was difficult to leave
your home, but there was nothing much left of it, anyway.”

“It’s not that, milady, it’s just that…well…that is not Dwilight,” he
gestured towards the approaching coastline.

“What do you mean it isn’t Dwilight? Of course it’s Dwilight!” She
looked around at the bustle of activity, “Everyone is preparing to
disembark.” She narrowed her eyes at him as he stood there shaking his
head at her sadly.

“No, milady, it is not. Soon after we boarded, I learned that this ship
in fact sailed here, to the Far East; however, you and my lord were
otherwise…occupied…,” he blushed a bit, “And this is the first
opportunity that I’ve had to share this news with you.”

El watched in alarm as all colour drained from his mistress’ face, only
to come rushing back in a brilliant flood. A tremor rolled through her
body, and she stared out at the growing land mass, gripping the railing
until her knuckles were white. Between clenched teeth Lek began to curse
Sennianus, his ancestors, and all Viking kind in a stream of creative
invective that made Elrdred take mental note. When she ran down, she
pushed away from the railing, “Get me my sword, El, I’m going to kill
him! I’m going to lop off all the protruding bits of his body and stuff
them down his gullet, then I’m going to gut him and dance on his
remains! That…Idiot! No…wait…don’t get my sword. I’ll get my sword. it’s
where he is, saves time!”

El held up a hand to stop her, “Lady Lek, wait! Before you go killing
him, as best I can tell, the Captain tricked him. Took his money and
lied about the destination."

Lek went very still. “The Captain…tricked him?” She smiled a tight,
dangerous smile, “El, please rouse my lord Sennianus and beg that he
join me. Make certain that he brings his sword…and mine too. I believe
that we have some business to…discuss…with the fine Captain.”

Roleplay from Sennianus the Mad Andrasta

Sennianus was fast asleep in his cabin. The voyage had worn him out
greatly... or rather, Lek had. But his sleep was abruptly ended when his
lover barged into the room, with Elrdred close behind. He jumped
upright, grabbed his sword and waved it around wildly.

"What's going on?", he shouted, "Is it the Moon People? It's the Moon
People, isn't it? Kill them all!"

He jumped off the bed and was halfway to the door when Lek stopped him.
"Relax, you dope. There are no Moon People... but there is someone to
kill, though."

Sennianus sheathed his sword. "Oh? Is Homus Cornelius on this ship or
something?"

Lek shook her head. "Nope... we need to off the captain of this ship.
The bastard tricked you."

"Tricked me? What are you talking about?", Sennianus asked.

"This ship is not going to Dwilight at all. It's heading to the Far
East! That scum simply took your gold and abused your... gullible nature."

Sennianus licked his lips. "Well then... what are we waiting for?", he
hissed.
