Roleplay from Crip Grindle (6 days, 5 hours ago)
Message sent to all nobles in the regions of Tucha, Chuca, Cori, Chato,
Picnu, Corniel. (Crip himself was in Tucha at the time) (~30 nobles)
Haragh, Sir Crip's young servant, is chatting to Liert, Sir Crip's
scribe, in an excited whisper.
Haragh: Undergarments? Knickers!?
Liert: Yes! That's what it was! He said it would answer Sir Friedroch's
question.
Haragh: And it was about what, exactly?
Liert: Four paragraphs. Warmth. Allure. Repairs. Literacy.
Haragh: So what do you think the question was?
Liert: Well, if it was the Literacy paragraph that was the key part,
then it must be that Sir Friedroch has run out of paper, and needs a way
of creating more. I find that unlikely though, since we received a
letter from him with scout reports not long ago. Though perhaps he has
used it all on scout reports, and that is the real reason why he has
left the frontlines?
Liert: Or, if it was the Repairs paragraph, then Sir Friedroch must be
so poor that he cannot afford new clothing. You would think that his
liege and his brother would make sure that such a thing would not
happen. I cannot imagine that a noble of the Tinsley family would be
destitute, but yet, it is a possibility, perhaps.
Haragh: Ok, so he might be too poor to afford paper or clothing. What else?
Liert: Well, if it was the Allure paragraph, then we must assume that
Sir Friedroch is on the lookout for a wife. Perhaps a particular wife,
that he feels the need to attract with such a method. It would be most
improper, I am sure, and I can't imagine that Duke Willem resorted to
such methods to secure Dame Ilya.
Haragh: Maybe he did...
Liert: Maybe! Well, there's a fourth option - the paragraph about Warmth.
Haragh: He's cold?
Liert: Cold down there. [points, bringing a grin from Haragh] And it
went further than that. It said that if you get cold down there, it can
make you infertile.
Haragh: Infru-tile?
Liert: Can't have children, Haragh. Impotent. Something like that. So
that would mean that he's having difficulty having children.
Haragh: With who?
Liert: Well, what a good question. Perhaps the young lady he is trying
to allure with his undergarments.
Haragh: Lady Ain? [grins]
Liert: Well, he has spent time with her, hasn't he? Or Dame Eowyn?
They're both from Menedor, aren't they?
Haragh: Maybe both - that's why he's poor and worn out!
Liert: Haragh! Really!
Haragh grins and winks to Liert, before running off. Sir Crip's given
him the day off, and now he's got one of his favourite pastimes to spend
the day on - gossip. It's not long before he's told various of his
friends working as servants for others in the Black Army, and so the
rumours start and spread around the regions in the south of Falasan.
Meanwhile, Liert happens to mention the situation to a couple of Crip's
men, who happen to mention it to their families in Tucha, who happen to
mention it to their friends, who mention it to their families...
