*Every general worth his salt knows the rules of gambling. Time works
against you, always. Information is everything. If you're willing to bet
half, bet it all.*
Horace stared at the arrows in his chest...still running calculations.
*
Even favorable conditions can turn quickly, a hundred x factors must be
factored. Sometimes you have to try your luck, force your opponent to prove
they can beat you. Find the line between aggression and caution.*
He started to calm down, perhaps he was dreaming.
*
When did I become obsessed with this? Was it ambushing Darkans? Perhaps
the storming of Icegate? Or the epic calvary charges against Minas Ithil on
the plains? Who hadn't he fought against?*
The clouds moved so quickly, and the sun was so bright. His pain receded,
and felt like sleeping.
*
I did what I could, how many thousands fell by my hand, so many sleepless
nights plotting, so many fortresses crumbled before me. Truly I lived as a
mover of mountains.*
A voice saying something about rites, requests. "Let me rest...in the
sands." he whispered to the darkness.
*I'm glad I went this way, old but still kicking, I must have slipped up
somewhere, forgive me...*
