[RPG] Alanna Anaris ~ Research on a New Home

The voyage is not a short one to the East Continent, which suits  
Alanna just fine.  She has brought with her several books pilfered  
from Ikalak's library—histories of the East Continent, and (mildly  
outdated) current political information.  Since the door of the cabin  
closed behind her in Ikalak's harbour, she has been studying  
them...or at least, skimming them.  She has come to some conclusions  
that she did not expect.  She muses aloud, tracing her finger around  
a map of the continent as she talks to herself.

"The place was at war—more or less the same war—for a truly  
ridiculous amount of time.  And now that war's over, they're all at  
peace...but it's not exactly an easy peace..."

She traces the outline of the largest realm: Sirion, in the  
northeast.  "Gods, that's a big realm..."

She traces the borders of the two major federations.  "Hmm...you  
know, there's got to be something that can be done about this...a  
place this stagnant has got to have tensions just boiling under the  
surface...if you know how to dig far enough.

"I wonder if I can find someone with...connections..."
