It started this morning. A light tingeling sensation under Sarig's left
armpit. But he couldn't be distracted now. The ungrateful Svunnetlanders
and the misguided Zonasa's were threatening the homeland. The heretics
should be straightened out this instand.

When Sarig was ready to issue his orders for the day, a messenger arrived.

"Orders have already been issued by Marshal Phellan, mylord."

Sarig frowned. "Arrogant ass. Ever since Gul'Dan promoted him to the
elites, Phellan thinks he is Nighthelm's saviour. He should learn his
place and respect the chain of command."

"Yes, Sir."

Sarig inspects the orders by Phellan. "Well, these seem the same as I had
planned. Let's indulge the ambitious Marshal until he screws up.

"Very good, Sir"

=======

The ride to Hutael was as in a haze. Sarig didn't remember much of the
trip. He couldn't even remember actually sitting on a horse. Again he felt
a sensation under his left armpit, this time more severe than this
morning.
When he and his men arrived at the battlefield, instinct took over. Sarig
shouted orders placing nobles and soldiers at strategical positions. The
battle was fast and fierce and the enemy never had a chance.

When the battle was over, nobles looked towards Sarig for other others.
The pain under his armpit became unbearable. Sarig's sight was dimmed. His
vision restricted only to the centre, with a thick black mist on the outer
borders. The black mist became thicker and thicker, like he could only
look straight ahead.

Somewhere deep in his unconcious mind Sarig remembered Excalibur needed
help against Soliferum. "To Batesaor, do not delay."

Though most nobles expected to secure Hutael, they prepared to break up
camp instead. There was little point in questioning the High Marshal.

=======

Somewhere on the road from Hutael to Batesaor Sarig felt the pain under
his armpit a fourth time. His vision quickly darkened again. This time he
could not fight the pain. Sarig gasped, reached with his right hand for
his heart, and fell of his horse. Motionless he lay on the ground, never
noticing the men of his unit coming to his aid.
