question she knew the answer to already. But, it is not her fault. Women 
are prone to asking questions that they do not want to hear the answer to.

"Danzi, my life, body, and heart are broken by Ikalak. Ikalak has fallen 
into a state of chaos and mistrust, lies and arrogance. I am leaving for 
so many reasons, one could hardly begin to start. I thought you would 
see the answers within the text of my resignation speech. While it was 
not bold, one could see what I eluded to. I do not say goodbye, I am 
simply gone."

permeating the small space. The tired and hungry woman smiled happily as 
she rubbed her bruised wrists.

"Edwin, I'm on my way home" she whispered quietly.

future," the voice was deep and masculine.

Danzi fidgeted slightly, something was different, something wasn't quite 
right.

"Danzi, we must focus"

"I understand" she said. Tired of being alone, she was prepared to 
accept this new person, even if it felt somewhat wrong.

"I won't ever leave you now" the deep voice promised, a strong 
reassurance for the future.

Danzi lay down slowly, a peace descended upon her that she hadn't 
experienced for so long.

"Thankyou Edwin. I was worried you would never forgive me. I was worried 
you might leave me"
