Evangeline and Korin rode comfortably into Perdan city. She smiled to 
her companion, she loved the feeling of being home. He had been mostly 
silent on the journey, but she had enjoyed the company.

As they plodded down the cobbled streets towards the palace, she reveled 
in the familiar surroundings and sounds, oblivious to the stares the 
tall, striking priest riding next to her was attracting.

Passing through the gates, the stablehands rushed to take their horses. 
She had been forewarned that Duke Maelg wasn't going to be here, he had 
gone to tend to undead in Nascot.

"Welcome home M'Lady" the stablemaster greeted Evangeline warmly.

"Thankyou" she grinned.

He paused when he saw Korin dismount from his horse and frowned slightly 
at the unmistakable Ibladesh crest on his robes.

"Prisoner M'Lady?" he asked Evangeline uncertainly, for Korin did not 
appear in custody.

"No... my guest", she replied.

"Ahhh" he frowned. But he nonetheless took Korin's horse and returned to 
the stables, casting more than one backwards glance to the two standing 
there.

Evangeline turned to her unusual guest,

"Since you know Jeffrey well, he can be your aide while you're here. 
He'll show you to your rooms and bring you to the library when you're 
ready. We can discuss the book there if it pleases you?"
