Roleplay from Sennianus the Mad
Sennianus leisured around in the Taselakian camp. The towers of Ikalak
City could be seen in the distance. The White City, they called it. The
Crimson City would be a more fitting name, Sennianus thought to himself.
He was eager to spill the blood of the Ikalakians inside their own city,
much like they had done themselves years ago. The memories were still
strong... Sennianus could still see the faces of the men that died in
the failed attempt to defend Taselak, and he was poised to take his
revenge. Even if that meant fighting side by side with Torenite scum.
Sennianus sat on a tree stump, holding his axe in one hand and a mug of
ale in the other. Captain Rudel was sleeping on the soft grass, and his
men were closeby, poaching and harassing the locals. Suddenly,
Sennianus' daydreaming was aprubted by a messenger.
"Sir Sennianus, Lady Lek and her men are nearing the camp." the boy said.
"Good. Do me a favour, head over there and ask her to come see me when
she arrives." Sennianus replied. He gave the boy a piece of silver and
sent him on his way.

Roleplay from Lek
Lek’s eyes felt gritty as she watched her men manoeuvre the bloody siege
engine around yet another mass of tree roots. For the last day they had
been marching on little sleep, trying to catch up with the main bulk of
the forces already camped in Berakor.
Across the plains of Endelee it had been mud that had slowed them: thick
and red, clinging to everything and bogging down the heavy machine.
Since then, it had been mile after mile through heavily forested
regions. With no scouts to mark their path, she had lost track of how
many times they had had to backtrack to find a passable way.
She grinned; the blasted contraption was moving again. Now, there were
plains ahead of them, and if her calculations were correct, they should
reach the main encampment shortly—with luck, they might manage a little
sleep before moving out to Ikalak City.
Soon, Lek could smell smoke drifting their way on the breeze, and then,
at last, they topped a small rise and there in the distance was the
welcome sight of campfires dotting the plain below them. “Pull hard,
boys, camp is in sight!” She picked out four of her men, “Jonas, Dervin,
Sammis, Aras, run ahead and set up camp. Don’t bother with tents, just
get a fire going and get some water.”
She noted a boy running up the hill toward them. “Lady Lek, Sennianus
requests you visit his tent. I’m to show you the way.” Lek hesitated,
looking at her men. Captain Elrdred spoke up, “Go on, my lady, we’ll be
fine.”
“Alright, boy, lead the way,” Lek followed him towards the camp.
