Roleplay from Sennianus the Mad
Senianus was leisuring in his tent when his captain arrived with yet
another letter from Lady Lek. The last one had very nearly given him a
heart attack, so he asked Rudel to read it first.
After about ten seconds, Rudel grimaced. "Eh... I think she means it, sir."
Without saying a word, Sennianus jumped up, barged his captain out of
the way and ran outside where Lek's messenger was waiting.
"What shall I tell my mistress, my lord?" the lad asked Sennianus.
Sennianus grabbed him by the shoulders and violently shook him. "Lek!
Tent! Where!?"
"Wha-what?" the boy asked in a panic.
"TENT! LEK! TELL ME NOW OR DIE!!" Sennianus shouted.
With a trembling hand, the messenger pointed in the direction Lek's
camp. Immediately he was tossed into a shrubbery by Sennianus, who then
dashed off as fast as his legs could carry him.
After a half hour of non-stop running, Sennianus finally spotted Lek's
banner waving over her tent. He looked around and picked a flower.
Making sure nobody saw him, he held it in front of him.
"For you, my sweet lady." he said quietly. "No, too cheesy..."
Again, he extended his arm. "Here's a flower!" he said. "No, too
aggressive... bah, to hell with it!"
Still holding the flower before him, he marched towards Lek’s tent. Two
soldiers stood guard outside. "Halt! Who goes there?"
"Sennianus the Mad, let me through!"
The soldiers crossed their spears. "Sorry, sir, no visitors."
Sennianus groaned. "Boy, you have exactly til the count of three to get
out of my way before I make you eat your trousers! One... two... three!"
Sennianus the Mad Andrasta (Knight of Sandalak)
Roleplay from Lek
Lek sat in her tent chuckling over the evening's messages: Jonn being
silly...nothing new there; Lyse demanding only well-trained men...but
what if you don't like how they're trained? Sennianus being sweet...how
was it such a "mad" barbarian could be so charming? Blue Beard's usual
thoughtful commentary; Sennianus again...oh.
Oh. His words sent a quiver through her. A woman of war accepts that her
life will be carved across her face and body by the swords and arrows of
her enemies. Lek herself did not mind them--each mark was a memory of a
battle won or lost, but fought gloriously. However, she never thought
anyone would call them marks of beauty.
She jotted a quick note and impatiently waited for the reply. When her
boy brought Sennianus letter she was bemused...joking? Is he kidding?
Lek wrote another short note. "Take this to Sennianus without delay and
wait for a response." Her brain actually felt a bit scrambled--the
warmth his comment had given her was now being increased by a trickle of
anger. Joking? Idiot!
She heard the tent flap rustle behind her and grumbled as she turned,
"If that blockhead replied anything other than 'I'm on my way', I'm
disinviting him!
The figure standing in the tent opening was not her messenger.
"Senninaus," she nearly sighed it, then angry at herself for sounding
like a love-sick schoolgirl, she yelled, "about damn time!"
Lady Lek Kindon (Dame of Yayhan)
