where there were no noticeable exits. He turned back to Danzi with a 
wide grin on his face, "You almost had me for a moment!"

He chuckles for a moment savoring the wide-eyed and furious expression 
on her face. "Now what on earth made you think I would even consider that?"

Danzi moved silently to Thoid, her face was without expression or motive.

"Let me make this clear to you. You have two choices, either do not 
challenge Edwin to a duel or..."

Her dagger pushed hard against his abdomen, her lips curled back in a 
snarl that made her look somewhat inhuman. He squirmed slightly under 
the pressure.

"You will find yourself again unfit to duel"

Thoid's throat rumbles as he gulps for breath, pondering why they never 
taught us how to deal with this at the academy. Nervously he slowly 
moves his hand down placing it on Danzi's forearm, then gripping it he 
pushes her and the dagger away, "You won't stab me again. If you do then 
you'll never have the guts to face Edwin after tonight.."

Feeling the energy of confidence flow through his body he adds an 
uneeded comment, "There are no words for how disgusting you are."

The surge of confidence was not unfamiliar, like a dying animal that 
throws caution to the wind, and puts forth a last ditch attempt at being 
brave. She smiled ruefully at the pathetic man.
