*The good Prime Minister closed the envelope, ready for delivery to the 
general populous thinking, how could Ikalak get so out of hand that one 
of it's land owners challenging its head of state to a death duel. Edwin 
didn't worry about what lay before him the next day. He knew his fill of 
life was good, rising from Duke to Prime Minister and willingly 
resigning the Ministry. He couldn't help thinking about two things, 
Thoid and how blatantly retarded he was and two, Sponge and how sad that 
a republic's judiciary system would condone the fact that it's Prime 
Minister could die in a duel. Sponge seemed almost apologetic in an 
opportunistic way in condoning such an act. Regardless, no matter what 
happened in the next day or so, he could not stay in Ikalak. Its 
administration is more or less insane and greedy with opportunism. 
Ikalak has many many good individuals. Oberan and Lawrence are at the 
top of the list. Their qualities alone give Ikalak hope. Edwin could not 
help cringe again at the thought of Sponge as ruler. For he is the one 
that ruined our chances at any type of agreement, plying to Taselak that 
they should give us the Dutchy of Sandelak back, just because. Argh!

The Good Edwin walked out of his former office collecting some of the 
items he treasured before leaving, one of them was a small bottle of 
perfume. The same perfume he enjoyed from someone. Someone close to 
Edwin's convictions.

The peasants raised their heads in bewilderment at the woman running 
with abandonment down the dirt track. Her hair trailed behind her and 
her face was streaked dirty from sweat and perhaps even tears.

Danzi didn't care who saw her, she just cared about getting back. She 
had left his side to make sure Ikalak could attack clearly, besides he 
had said he wasn't above realm laws and would not break them by dueling. 
What was Sponge doing? He would save the life of an infiltrator but not 
the life of their Prime Minister.

A message by bird was sent to Ikalak, to arrive before she could ever 
hope to,

"Edwin, please delay the duel. I need to talk to you."

moved from the assault, but half a dozen swords were quickly leveled at

"You're here to duel him!" she accused, anger flashing in her eyes.

As Edwin turned to walk away, Danzi slipped up quietly to his back and 
lunged her dagger forward. As he turned to face her, tears began to fall 
silently down her face.

"And this is so I can deal with you many more days in the future", she 
whispered.

Cradling him gently to the ground, she shouted to alert the guards, 
before slipping out of the room.
