Letter from Sarig
Message sent to everyone in this region (37 recipients)
It was during the siege in Lenamaziel that Sarig heared his spiritual
leader had fallen. Directly after securing the field in Lenamaziel, he
jumped on his horse and rode all night back to Anacan. The sun had just
begun to set when he arrived in the city.
Quickly he found his way to the cental market place, the scene of the
duel. Valius' body still lay on the ground. It was as if he was asleep on
his back. His sword resting on his chest.
Alas, it is true, you have fought your last battle my friend. Feast well
in Valhalla, you have earned it.
Sarig took a large ~V~ banner from his saddlebag, and covered Valius with
it. He nodded to his lieutentant.
We have to gather more wood. That pile over there isn't sufficient to
builld a pyre large enough for Valius' stature.

Roleplay from Feanor

Looking at Sarigs ~V~ standard, Feanor lowers his head. He turns to front
his few tattered men and tells them:
Valius was an enemy, he was merciless and ambitious
but he was a brave
man. His armies fought ours with honor, so did he by accepting duels to
death of all our Prime Ministers. He killed Maltheo and ShaddarRim, Lulan
killed him
Let us remember him as a man of principles who died like all
soldiers, winners or losers.
He raises he swords and lays his hand on his heart. His men do the same.
They stay so, immobile, for a few long minutes. Then, they flee as some
takeover troops approach to wipe them out.

Roleplay from Renquest
Message sent to everyone in this region (37 recipients)
Renquest watched as the body of Valius is being prepared, Renquest didnt
know the fallen King well, but he did know that the man lived what he
preached, more than he could say for many others,
Several members of the ~V~ were gathering, many he knew others were
stranges, but for some reason Renquest felt the pain of their loss,
Then the words of brian ran through his mind
"to be honest I see this war as an opportunist one, a war for land in the
end"
Renquest quickly grew angry and went to seek out Brian and to tell him
that he was not welcomed here any longer, he had no buisness standing on
the fields with such men as those that would give their lives for such a
cause,
Brian had insulted all with his claims that these men, these Leaders died
over lands, Brian had no understanding of anything other than his own
worthless being.

Roleplay from Sarig

Sarig looked to the immense pyre that was build for Valius. The wooden
structure easily reached 15 feet in the sky. On top rests the body of the
spiritual leader of The Hall of Blood and Battle. With a shock Sarig
suddenly realized that he now was to lead the ~V~ warriors. If he would do
only half as well as Valius, the Hall would be safe. Still, the
responsibilty...
Sarig looked around. Many had come to pay their last respect to Valius
Handrix, King of The Sanctum of Casshern, Founder of ~V~, Warrior by
Heart, Servant of the Elders, and now Hero of Valhalla. Sarig recognized
his brothers from the Hall, but also aristocrats from all realms nearby.
Sarig looked to his left side, there was his brother Senoske, and next to
him Alpha. Both were clearly moved, but managed to keep their emotions to
themselves. The sun climbed over the citywalls.
Sarig wispered to his brothers: It is time.
Sarig climbed up a ladder leading to Valius. When Sarig was on top of the
structure, next to Valius body he adressed the crowd.
Brothers, friends and honoured guests. Today we mourn the loss of a great
man. Valius was a warrior, to the core. What he did he did with
dedication, passion and zeal. He simply knew no other way. No matter if
his choices were right or wrong, he always followed his heart. He always
fought for what he thought was just. That makes him pure.
But today is not only about mourning, it is about celebrating aswell. For
Valius died as he wished he would die. He died a warriors death. To Valius
there was no greater honour. Now his spirit feasts with other warriors in
the Halls of Valhalla. Lets be happy for him.
Sarig lifted the great ~V~ banner on top of Valius body and removed his
sword that rested on his chest. After gently draping the banner back,
Sarig climbed down.
Brother Gomorrah, you are the Guardian of the Mother Hall in Idaol.
Valius vision and dream started there. I present you with the blade that
symbolizes that vision. Protect it with your life and return it to Idaol,
where it will remind us that sometimes small dreams can grow into
something wonderful.
Sarigs lieutenant offered a burning torch to Sarig, ment to light the
pyre. Sarig accepted the torch, and stared at the wooded structure once
more. Reluctant to start the fire he looked to his left side. Seeing Alpha
and Senoske he realized that in their heart they were more warriors than
he was. Instead of stepping forward, he turned left.
Brothers, you have earned this honour more than me. One of you should lit
the pyre, not I. And he held the burning torch just between them.

Roleplay from Ziode

Ziode stepped forward after a moment and walked up to the structure. In it
he stuck a Lunarian banner he had brought with him.
"Valius did a lot for Lunaria. In the afterlife the spirit of Lunaria will
travel with him as well."
Ziode backed away and soon became lost in thought. 'My own mentor in life.
It's amazing how we never forget those who taught us. Even when we were
leaders of different realms I would seek his advice on occasion for a
small issue or something. Valius was one of the first people I met in
Lunaria as well. He will forever be listed as a hero of Lunaria, and in my
own records as the uniter of the south, and as a man with an immortal
spirit.'
After a moment he changed his thoughts to the moments at hand and waited
for the pyre to be lit for one of the greatest men ever to live in the Far
East.

Roleplay from Alpha

Alpha put his hand around the torch Sarig was holding betweeen Senoske and
Alpha. He then held it closer to Senoske.
He then said
It should be the three of us to light the pyre of our Great Brother. As a
show of brotherhood and being united. To symbolize how we must work
together now to reach the dream of Valius.

Roleplay from Rathan

Rathan stepped forward and drew his sword, given to him long ago when he
came to these lands. It was upon another death that he recieved the sword,
and it needed to be bared for this event.
He knelt and held the sword high, pointing the way to the Halls of
Valhalla. His mouth could be seen moving and those close to him could hear
him singing quitely in his native tongue...
-------------------------
Roleplay from Senoske
Message sent to everyone in this region (42 recipients)
Senoske put his hand on the torch, joining the hands of Alpha and Sarig.
"It is time. Farewell for now Valius, we shall meet again in Valhalla."
Senoske and his two Brothers of ~V~ together approached the pyre and
thrust the torch into the wood. It quickly caught fire and began to burn.
Senoske walked a bit back, limping slightly, and knealt down singing a
song in the fair foreign tongues he had learned upon the Western
Contienent (ooc: East Continent)

Roleplay from Hoshi
Message sent to everyone in this region (42 recipients)
Hoshi cried as she watched the funeral pyre lit...watched as Valius was
sent on a journey with the gods. He would be missed...this she knew in her
heart.

Roleplay from Senoske
Message sent to everyone in this region (42 recipients)
Senoske finished his song and stood up and turned to those gathered.
"Today, we mourn the loss of Valius, a man who died fighting for what he
believed in. Just the other day he had joined the Order of the Elders, and
though he had not advanced far within the church... He has no doubt earned
the favour of the Elders. For those of us who fight with honor and are
ready to give our lives for the same reasons Valius did, we know that we
shall someday feast with Valius again. This is the way of the Elders, of
~V~, of Nighthelm. Let not another person speak ill of Valius again, or
lay unfounded claims that he is an evil man. Let him live on in our
hearts, and learn from the lessons he taught us. Odin be with us all in
these trying times."

Roleplay from Sarig

The pyre had been burning for about 10 hours before the last flames went
out. There was still a tremendous heat coming from the ashes. Some nobles
already left, others had arrived while the pyre was burning to pay their
respects.
Sarig talked to some of his guildbrothers, remembering tales and anecdotes
of Valius. Laughing, drinking, staring in silence, and even when none
looked shedding a tear.
When he was done socializing Sarig gathered a small party.
Bother Conan, Brother Ziode, Brother Gomorrah, Brother Alpha, Brother
Karpur, Brother Rathan will you please join and follow me?
Sarig walked back to the burned out pyre. About 20 feet in front of it
stood a locked wooded case. Sarig opened the case with a copper key.
Within were 8 stone urns. Protected with a leather glove, Sarig scooped
the eight urns full of ash. He handed an urn to each of the partymembers,
and two to Rathan.
Brothers, in your hand you hold the last remains of Valius. Return with it
to one of the seven Guild Halls in your realm. I will see to Hall of
Unwavering Hope, in Hatdhes.
Brother Rathan, I was hoping that you would visit your brother in
Arcachon, and on your way there you could offer the other urn to Brother
Sito in Sartania.
Brother Karpur, the 8th urn is for Palnasos. The citizins of Palnasos will
want a symbol to mourn their King aswell.
The rest will drift away in the wind until it reaches the shores of
Atamara. Some of it will drop on the frozen beaches of the Barony of
Makar, his place of birth. And so the circle will be complete.

Roleplay from Ziode

My friends and allies. I must return home now. It has been a great honor
serving beside all of you. As for the urn. It will make it to the halls in
Dsinanas. I will protect it with my life.

Roleplay from Karpur
Message sent to everyone in this region (45 recipients)
Upon receiving the urn with the remains of his King and Guildleader from
Sarig, a single tear came up out of Karpur's eye and roled down his cheek.
Although inside of him his emotions of loss and grief felt more and more
present, he stood firmly and the tear was all that revealed a bit of his
feelings. He took the urn and ensured his brothers he would take it to
Palnasos and give it to the people of Casshern.
After this ceremony he turned to the present nobles of the Sanctum of
Casshern.
"Mylords and myladies. These remains are meant for our capital, let's
bring them home"

Roleplay from Rathan
Message sent to everyone in this region (45 recipients)
Rathan stared into the embers of the dying pyre, hearing the words of
Sarig, but not reacting to them. In the blowing wind, he imagined that he
could hear the voice of the man that he's come to this land to seek out.
In the end, he realized that he just heard the wind, the voices that he'd
wanted to hear for so long were absent, and always would be.
He would not speak to his dead brother again, nor would Valius hear his
questions or cries.
Rathan realized that he was left with little choice. He tucked the urns
into the pouches on his belt and as he stared into the fire, he realized
that he did have to travel North. He had wanted to reaim close to his
family, but had been relying upon a series of empty promises to do so. He
had a brother that he didn't know really well in the North, perhaps it was
time to change that.
I will make this journey. In the end it will accomplish much and allow for
a reawakening of the Hall in Arcachon. I will make this delivery to Sito
and will report on my findings on the North Island.
Sarig, My sincere hope is that we will meet again.

Roleplay from Gomorrah
Message sent to all allies in this region (31 recipients)
Taking the sword in his hand. Gomorrah moves away from the funeral. Tears
stain his eyes as he walks away, both hands clutching the ~V~ Sword which
had survived so many battles. He still could not believe that Valius was
gone, the man who had shown him so much in the way of Honor. Riding to his
camp he stayed in his tent for days. Seeing nobody. Finally he emerged two
days later. The sword in a makeshift open sheath, allowing the world to
see the sword he carried. Taking his Seargent's spear, the ~V~ banner
resting on top, as it has for many years, he ripped it off. His troops
mouth's dropped in horror. Until they see him pulling out a much larger
banner. Attaching it to the spear, he held it in place as he mounted a
horse. This was not his usual horse, this was a solid black horse, instead
of the preferred white he has always rode. Hoisting the spear in the air,
the banner caught the wind, blowing for all the people to see.
His men riding behind him, Gomorrah rode from the streets of Anacan, the
solid black banner, with the ~V~ in a darker shade of black. Black cloaks
billowing behind them, they made their way to Idaol.
