A whole season had been and gone since Sohei took office. In that time 
many things had changed for what he believed to be the better. But 
others had become worse, especially with the disappearance of Imperator 
Yarah, Lady Indira and many others. Not that he would allow that to 
bring a halt to his duty. And with this a new king needed to be named, 
not only for his own sanity, but also for the betterment of Arcaea. The 
people… the people would rejoice at such. Already he had made the 
proposal to his closest advisors. But the question was more of where to 
begin, and how they would prove their lineage. Perhaps a search through 
the archive of the Osai in Ossaet would bear fruit. But after what had 
been happening in that region lately, he believed it more likely that 
Lasanar would have burnt any such records to ashes.

‘Send for Lord Gunfire at once, I wish to speak with him.’

Turning from the runner he walked over to the window, looking out over 
the city. From the tower he had a good view of most. And it allowed for 
the privacy he so yearned for.
