First need you sign up for the RPG list:
http://web.lemuria.org/mailman/listinfo/bm-rpg
<br />
Much of the realm wide RP that has the potential for common knowledge
should still be done there. This is for RP and non-RP reasons:
<br />
<br />
-Archieves
<br />
-Letting players from all around see for other RP reasons (spies,
rumors, traveling minstrels report, ect.)
<br />
-Once we get more and more players, a massive RP event with alot of
narrative could easily make it impossible to get through a simple log
on. We don't want ppl to log on and then time out while simply trying to
reading through everything just to get to movement orders.
<br />
-RPing should be something that is savored and enjoyed, not having a
time limit on when you have to read it is nice and the list and email
accomplish this.
<br />
<br />
Second make an introduction of your character that is purely personal.
What (s)he or the family has done elsewhere is subjective and
irrelevant. That doesn't tell us who you are. This should be posted to
the list.
<br />
<br />
Third try to maintain consistancy in your character while also allowing
him/her to grow at the same time. Remember ppl get over things and not
everyone (at least with a healthy heart) carry grudges for years and
years. Personal and policical alliances are fleeting, they are never a
permenant marriage as you see on other Isles. I would think we see alot
of shifting because of the nature of politics is to serve different ppls
with different needs.
<br />
<br />
Fourth roleplay should be directed as it is able to get out. If a
conversation is between two ppl but has the potential of being overheard
by the region then it should be sent to the region. If it is
information that goes to motive or is potentially juicy enough to be
overheard and go to the realm. Just remember that not everything you
read your character knows. You need to figure out what (s)he would know
and how (s)he would know it. And again anything that has the potential
of being extensive RP should to go on the list.
<br />
<br />
Last and most importantly use your best judgement. Set the scene in
your head. and work it out real quick. Much can be done in game other
stuff you should give the chance for everyone to see. Arcaea should
know more then other BM realms know about each other. In fact when we
break up I would hope that news travels almost too fast between the
realms like you would see in recently dissolved nation states. But if
you think there is something that is of interest to minstrels, worthy of
rumor, or a potential spy is looking in on then as an RPer I think it is
your duty to have out in the open on the list. It is give and take and
a lot your own judgement.
