And then Alaina woke.....
Sweaty with the flame of her boiling anger and hate for Valius....but life still beat in her, and the test had not yet come...perhaps tomarrow....
(OOC: you take too much liberty with me. If you want it to end quickly, fine, but that is no excuse to take over my chariter...that is indeed not RP...it is simply story writing.
It is good writing, dont get me wrong or take offense Phil, but I am Valion..not you. It is much more interesting if we both play our parts dont you think?)
Phil Moniz <philmoniz at gmail.com> wrote: Alaina entered the small theatre smiling.
Before her, lavishly showy in his best kingly attire, stood her bane. The man who had taken everything from her and countless others. The man who had murdered her only love.
Valius
The theatre was full to bursting with spectators. Alaina could tell the Lords and Ladies immediately from their rich garb and the looks of contempt and amusement worn so plainly on their faces.
There were many commoners as well, locals from the region likely allowd in by Valius to phase her. Her smile turned to a look of dry amusement. There were wispers of "Lady Alaina" coming from the common folk as she approached the circle of stones that marked the dueling area. She had once ruled these people as Lady of Anacan, not so long ago before the torches and swords of her enemies had decended. None of that mattered now.
Alaina had eyes only for Valius, who wore no expression except that of duty on his face. Their eyes met. Those murderous eyes. Alaina tried with all her soul to burn out those eyes with her stare, to set this man ablaze and send him to the judgement of the gods.
Valius slowly removed his kingly robes, never breaking Alaina's stare. Alana cast her own, travel stained cloak aside with a whip. The crowd gasped.
Alaina wore a pair of tight fitting breeches and her twin blades hanging from her swordbelt. That was all she wore. She was bare from the waste up, her ample breasts sitting plumply on her chest.
"Greetings, /King/ Valius," she callde out in a biting tone. "I have come for you. Let justice be served in front of the good peoples of Ansopen, that they may see you atone for the scars you have left on the land. If it should be me that falls, then let all gather here witness a true noble perish for what is just and good in this world."
With that, she strode seductively, bared breasts and all, to the centre of the circle. She slowly drew her two blades, marked with her fathers sigil wich matched the small acorn pendant which hung nestled in her busom.
Valius wordlessly entered opposite her, pointedly staring her up and down. Alaina smirked, and indicated her bare chest, "To remind you of the unborn son you slew when you took the life of Maltheo Olik." With that, Alaina charged.
Her charge was wreckless, and she began hammering at Valius with wer swords, blades swirling and moving in blurred patterns. She was still smiling. They would be together again soon.
Valius quickly settled into a defensive stance, allowing Alaina to tire herself. Their blades clanged and shot sparks as Valius' sword seemed to appear to block Alaina's before hers were even there.
Soon Valius' superior skill began to tell. Still Alaina smiled. She had known full well what she was getting into. Maltheo had been more than her superior when it came to swordplay, and this man before her had bested him. She had known how this would end.
Suddenly, Valius shifted to the attack, and Alaina qucikly found her arms screaming as she tried to fend off the heavy blows of her assailant. Left and right he hacked, and with each block Alaina's movement became more haggard, and much slower. She had aquired dozens of knicks and gashes, and could feel the last of her energy slip away.
"Enough of this," Valius murmered, and with two hard swipes had Alaina's swords flying across the arena. Then, putting all his weight behind it, Valius plunged his sword deep into Alaina's torsoe, nearly to the hilt.
"MAAAAAAAAAAALTHEOOOOOO" shrieked Alaina as she collapsed to the gound collapsed to the ground, blood quickly beginning to pool around her. The scream eachoed loudly in the distance
She stared at the sky, her vision slowly clouding. The kiss of the steel was cold, and she could feel hot blood trickling through her fingers. It all seemed like a distant thought though. Abover her floated a face, slowly forming as if from mist. Hard features appeared, and a shock of black hair. Then came the eyes. Eyes she'd drank in countless times. Those eyes were here home.
"Maltheo......." she breathed, letting out her last breath. Her eyes grew grey then, and her body grew motionless. And still she smiled.
Valius turned wordlessly and strode toward his entourage, leaving his bloody sword embedded in the fallen Lady.
