[RPG] RE: Alaina's Revenge

Captain Derian had seen her leave; seen her steal away in the night. He knew
where it was Lady Alaina was heading, and knew what she would meet when she
arrived.

He also knew he would never see her again.

It would be up to him to tell the men, as his Lady had instructed him to do
should she ever fall in battle. He would tell them they were free to do as
they chose, but he knew they would stay and keep the legion together to
defend the city Alaina had grown to love, and in her father Feldric's name
defend it to the last man.

Derian sighed. He had stood beside Alaina since before her father's death
and her subsequent journey to this land. He had stood with her through many
battles and they had weathered many storms together. Derian would have given
his life countless times over to save hers.

But in the end he had been unable to save her from her grief: to save her
from herself.
