Orphaea reclined back in his seat.

The conversion of Xarnelf via Xarutek came along nicely... the war had
spread across the entire island... he had disposed of Arella... his word
inevitably moved to being as law in Aenilia. He was disappointed in the
fitting yet somehow unsatisfying means of the demise of Arella... dying of a
broken heart... he had hoped for such a great confrontation between them, a
great holy war or schism, something with fight in it... he was sure Arella
had willed herself to death, dying of a broken heart not by power of emotion
but by power of mind, having seen the inevitable. It was not suicide; by a
supreme act of will, she had cheated him out of her death. He could respect
that.

Orphaea smiled. Chaos, destruction, and the East waiting for a new Emperor.
A new Messiah.

All was going according to his design.
