Hoshi rode on a grim determination...to save what she could though she knew that there none would come to stand with Svunnetland...

Senoske insisted she had sent a forgery of Arkenine to him...when she had sent the original...

The city was under seige....Sabastian wounded....Morthwyl as well...It is an unsettling thing to know that no matter what you do or say no one will listen to you...their own agenda's driving them...

Palnasos had been saved from the demon god...and for what? So that Nighthelm could come and take it...and what would Nighthelm do with it? Keep or hand it off to the Commonwealth so that a new colony could be started?

The rumors that had ciruculated for weeks now seemed to be coming true...plans that had been laid long ago...when the rulers of the Far East decided Svunnetland was only good for the spoils of war to be divided among themselves...

Hoshi rode in silence...not a man or woman riding with her dared to say a word...for words would not ease this trouble...

The Toy had been watching in the shadows for quite some time. Though it was sure it had been noticed for just as long. That mattered little to the Toy. Its presence was to watch and report to its master. The King of Terror didn't die as one would expect, though the outcome and price paid was far greater than one had expected. So the time for his masters arrival was not even near at hand. Yet orders had been given.

Soon the Toy would approach Lady Hoshi, soon. When she had the fierce look of determination that she once had when they had partied in Akanos.

The Toy would wait until they made rest, then the Toy would deliver its message. That is if it was not summoned before hand.

Hoshi stopped just outside Ipsosez's city gates...her entourage came to a halt...and dismounted as their Queen did...a bit exasperated....she turned and looked at the troops and said...."You may enter the city if you wish or you may remain here at the gate until I am ready to enter....for the moment I am going over to that little grove of trees...there is a small pond there and wish to sit and watch the water for a time...while I wait for the one who watches me to come forward....now leave me to this...I will be fine..."

Reluctantly the soldiers with Hoshi stood back...taking up positions watching the roads that led to Ipsosez as well as the landscape surrounding it...the captain said..."Aye my Queen and we will wait here for you then..."

Hoshi nodded and asked..."Have you any whiskey with you...I fancy a drink and I am in no mood for tea..."

A bit taken aback the Captain nods his head and hollars to one of the men at the supply wagon..."Bring a bottle of whiskey for the Queen..."

Bottle in hand...Hoshi walks the little grove of trees and sits by the pond...pulling the stopper out of the bottle she takes a long swig....and waits for the watcher to come join her....
