At the top of the highest tower in Shanandoah, Anton kneels, facing
the west. His eyes are closed, and the spring sunshine warms his
face, bathing him in light. In his outstretched hands, he holds his
sword up to the sun. His lips move in silent prayer for some time.
Eventually, he opens his eyes and raises his head. With a smile, he
begins to sing softly.

As morning dawns, I rise to greet the sun;
At noon I smile, well-warmed in Her bright rays;
I bid the west good night when day is done:
Thus do I honour to Her all my days.

In time of war, I seek to do what's right,
Not bringing conflict, nor inciting strife,
But fighting to preserve what's true and bright:
Thus do I honour Her will in my life.

When war is o'er, and conflict put to rest,
She calls me still to stand and do my part;
So to uphold what's just I'll do my best:
Thus do I honour Her will in my heart.

My days, my life, my heart, I gladly spend
To do Your will, O Bright Arelien.

He bows his head in respect for several seconds, then rises, sheathes
his sword, and descends the tower stairs, heading for the practice
ground, feeling refreshed, and filled with the Light of his Goddess.
