/Dyre was shocked he was asked to leave. How and why? Surely they
would not have done such a thing without his lieges blessing. Not
without the crime of heresay could they do this... could they? Had he
disappointed his Countess so direly that she wished him gone without a
word or warning? Or had the Church gone mad with power? Dyre looked
blankly at a piece of paper, and then out the window. In all of his
years, like many, he never learned to read or write. He was never in
good with any church and they tended to have the that could manage to
teach such skills. He managed his own name, and quite stylishly... his
mother had seen to that, but nothing more./
/Brooke on the other had been taught by Dyre's Uncle Espiria, it seemed
like so long ago, and like yesterday. She only half listened and penned
something entirely different. She had him sign it and then left for the
market of Colosan to complete this business. Colasan was a once booming
marketplace/,/ but a war economy saw the end of that. Colasan was
supposed to be the pride Lasanar and the new order of the world once the
empires started to crumble, one from neglect and one from insideous
design. Now the Colasan marketplace could be better described as a
black market. Anything for a price. Brooke found scribes that could be
bought, and even they raised an eyebrow at her deed. But eyebrows do
not pay the rent and a few silvers is better than no silvers at all.
They set the price and she scratched his name and wrote one more line
and signed her own as the copies were finished.
/
/On the completion of of the task she signed every copy could afford and
went to the couriers. Their instructions simple. Hand copies to
everyone they see that looks like they are of the Noble Warrior
Caste.Again with pay they were gone with the very odd instructions but
again coin is better than no coin.../
/The Letter goes as such:/
Countess Riamh,
This letters contents are not what my Master Dyre commisioned but my
own. His only want is to beg your forgiveness for whatever his short
falling and wanting to know what it would again take to curry your
favor. I want to know however is how you would let this happen. You
know well that Dyre has no aspirations of his own and is only driven by
the horrors he saw in Batesaor and drive not to turn into a beast like
that insane mother of his. He swore to you because he believed in you
and that you of all people could understand the demons that haunt his
dreams.
Why did you give the Church of Ethiala leave to banish one of your
knights, especially one so hopelessly dedicated to you? You know that
he would follow you to the ends of the earth and not do a thing to ever
give you cause to suspect his interest went beyond yours. I beg of you,
one woman to another, do not crush Dyre so calausly without even a
single word to him why. He has had to come to terms with more things
than he can handle and this will be the end of him if you turn your back
on him wordlessy as well. He did not swear his life to yours on whimsy
or without meaning his oath.
Please if you are to mcut him loose let him know why his liege wishes
him gone.
In the hand of and without the knowledge of her master,
Brooke, scribe of the House of Eiryn
