Kestrelle stood on the platform in her marshal's armour and bowed her head 
to the Duchess of Colasan, accepting the sealed documents of Anaos. She 
raised her head and smiled back at her former mentor.

"Many thanks, Your Grace. The best part of the journey was coming home." 
She turned to the small crowd that had assembled -- honest landowners and 
good peasantfolk, the salt of the earth.

"I was born in Anaos. I was made a knight of Anaos under Sir Vincent. Then 
I was made Marshal of Colasan not long ago. Today I am made Countess of 
Anaos under the Duchess Menelmereth. But despite all these changes, one 
thing remains constant. I serve you in all things, people of Anaos. Lasanar 
is my country, but Anaos is my home and my heart. And it is an honour to 
serve you. Now, and always."
