Yarah was tired. Not only had he been humiliated by being imprisoned in
his own realm and then the realm's Haruspex Maximus Korin had chosen to
behave as the supreme authority of the gods acting like he was higher
than the pontifex herself. Even after Yarah requested him that since he
had already banned Yarah, atleast he could release him so that Yarah
could speak to the Pontifex and the rest of the realm. But it was not to
be so.
Nevertheless, while Yarah was severely disappointed in the way Ibladesh
had treated him, he held no ill will for he had chosen the path to peace
and making an issue of his banishment. He would likely have to choose a
new home since Korin had personally decided that he would never allow
Yarah in Ibladesh again.
When Yarah received Sorcha's letter, his heart lightened for atleast
there was someone in Ibladesh willing to listen to him and allow him to
explain the purpose of Pacifism.
He immediately set out for Lorient sending it to Lady Sorcha ahead of
his arrival.
Greetings Lady Sorcha,
It is indeed unfortunate that matters have come to this and I am not a
proclaimed rogue without a chance in Ibladesh. A chance to explain, to
elaborate on what Pacifism is and what it's goals are. But it seems that
few wished to oppose the Haruspex Maximus.
But I am glad that you have chosen to atleast allow me to tell you what
Pacifism is about. Let me first tell you, as I have already said so many
times, Pacifism does not intend to oppose, to counter the Church of
Ibladesh. Nor does it pose a threat to Ibladesh. The purpose of the
order is to try and establish peace, to try and restore balance and
harmony in the world in times of strife. Do you think that a religion
which wishes to maintain peace will try to conflict with another
religion or with anyone else for that matter? No milady, we wish to
prevent conflicts and not cause it.
Regarding the information that I was "recruiting" members for the order,
then all I can say is that it was a misunderstanding. Never once have I
even asked if anyone wishes to join the church, definitely not in
private. When I asked, I did so in front of the entire realm.
And secret recruitment, absolutely not. Yes I wrote to a few senior
members of our realm asking them of their opinion and whether it was
wise for me to go ahead. Out of those who replied, a few said that if I
indeed wished to establish peace and work for the betterment of
Ibladesh, then it would be a good idea. And if you would have your
scribe search through letters sent to you, you will realized that I
wrote one of those letters to you as well. One last point, never once in
any of those letters was anyone asked to either join or whether they
would like to join Pacifism. If you so wish, I can have those letters
sent to you for your own verification. And you can then cross verify
with those nobles who I did ask for advice.
I hope all this explains the chain of events in the past few days and
also explains the aims and goals of Pacifism.
I shall arrive in Lorient by sunrise tomorrow and if you do get time
from the rehabilitation of the people there, we can discuss this matter
further.
Still loyal,
Yarah Arya
OOC: Since Yarah is a rogue, he can't travel to any regions. So we can
either continue it here or take in game through direct messages.
