"What do you mean he can't come with me?" roared Maelg at his defiant 
Mother-in-Law.  He was starting to realise where his wife got her 
stubbornness from.

"He can't go!  We have cows to milk, and the harvest is in a few days!" 
Complained the short, grey haired woman.

"Bah! He's going to be a great warrior one day!  What does he need with 
cows and corn?" realising he was not going to get anywhere with the 
discussion, he points his finger at his mother-in-law "Fine!  I'll be in 
town for a couple of hours, don't think this is the last we've had of 
this discussion!"

With that, Maelg storms off in the direction of town, his men in tow.

Several hours later, just before sunrise, Murdo awakes to someone 
clamping their hand over his mouth.  Looking up startled, he sees his 
father with one finger to his mouth signing to him to keep quiet.  Murdo 
nods in understanding.

"Quick boy," whispers Maelg "Grab some clothes, were leaving before the 
Dragon awakes."

With that Murdo gathers a few clothes, and follows his father out the 
window.  Sneaking out of earshot, Maelg says to his son

"Pick up the pace. Breck and the men are waiting at the outskirts of 
town with the horses!"
