As the tall Pontifex waited, Queen Evangeline went to the small wooden 
box that had been used to carry the region titles for the land exchanges 
of the treaty.  She had been to six region exchanges in as many weeks. 
Now, as she lifted the hinged lid she looked ruefully at the last title 
lying in the box.

Lifting the small scroll of parchment she handed it to Pontifex Sorcha,

"I hand Lorient and its loyal citizens into your care.  May both our 
realms prosper and heal with the passing of time, and may our friendship 
strengthen"

Queen Evangeline watched with quiet respect as the Ibladesh banner was 
raised to fly above Lorient.
