Tears of joy trickle down Anton's cheeks as he ceremonially places
the crest above the entrance to the Temple of Arelien: first of its
kind on Atamara. He has supervised its building from the start, and
now, at last, it is complete, and he can start on the next stage of
his journey.

Silently, radiating calm serenity, Anton walks up the central aisle
of the nave to the chancel. In one hand, he bears a torch, lit by
the concentrated rays of the sun through a spyglass. In the other,
he holds aloft his sword, the Anaris, in its scabbard. At the end of
the aisle, he tosses the torch onto the waiting bonfire, lighting the
Eternal Flame, Then, standing behind it, he calls out in a loud
voice, "Arelien, centuries ago, you gave this sword to my ancestor.
Today, I give it back to you!"

With that, he turns, and hangs the sword high on the wall, hanging
point-down over the Eternal Flame.

Then he comes to the front of the Eternal Flame and takes the flame-
coloured robes from his waiting aide, Jons. Once he has put it on,
he lays his hand on Jons' shoulder and says gently, "Thank you,
Jons. You have served me nobly and well. I release you from my
service."

His cheeks wet with tears, Jons shakes his head and replies, "Sir—
Your Holiness—I would be most honoured if you would make me your
acolyte. I want to serve you, and Her, still."

Anton's face breaks into a smile. "Of course, my old friend."

Then he turns to those who have gathered to witness the opening of
the temple. "My friends, people of Lothruin, today is a bright day,
for today we see the beginning of the worship of Arelien on Atamara.
May Her light shine upon us all!"
