<i>Hoshi took a daggar from a scabbard at her hip.  It was as long as her forearm and the blade was intricately carved with runes.  She sliced her palm open, the cut ran from the base of her index finger to the opposite corner and bit into the flesh deeply...she need the blood to flow freely...to flow thickly.

She held her arm out wide and and let the blood drip on the parapet facing east, she then turned north letting the blood be caught in the wind, and repeated this to the west and to the south.<i>

"May you consecrate this realm and my actions, may you guide me on the path I am about to journey on, may you walk with me in beauty as I carry out your will."

<i>Wrapping her hand in linen Hoshi then sheathed the dagger, still wet with her blood and began to walk along the path built into the wall around the palace.  She had much to atone for in these next days, for the gods demanded she restore the balance to Svunnetland.</i>
