Takeover still running   (2 hours, 12 minutes ago)
The government of Ansopen is still loyal, but resistance is falling.
More troops would surely help to speed up the takeover. 23 peasants are killed in clashes with the takeover forces.

Valius stood before a large pyre in Ansopen, his ~V~ sword plunged into the earth before him, and a fiery torch in his hand.  He waited a moment after tossing the torch onto the wooden construct, watching the flames lick ever higher.  Then he turned to speak to those assembled.

"These men began the day as peasents of Ansopen....yet their courage took them on a path to end the day as warriors.  As warriors, we have provided them with the battle they longed for, and given them the honorable death upon the field.

Now we send them off to the halls of the gods....may their heavenly mead alwase be cool, and their swords sharp as they feast and battle in the beyond.

As warriors....we salute you"
