To a certain extent, we're never going to get away from it. We
frequently have legitimate OOC needs that we want to bring into the
game: parking a character in the capital while I go on vacation, for
example, or switch class to bureaucrat because I can't log in that
often. I'd rather that people take the time and effort to roleplay
it and come up with IC reasons than to just do it and not think about
it.

I don't really see a problem with sitting int he capital while you go
on vacation and roleplaying it. And certainly, it's better to come up
with IC reasons for your absence than to say nothing at all. But I
would think switching realms so your characters doesn't get arrested
while traveling towards the realm he really wants to join is a bit
different than moving away from the war front because you're going away
for a weekend. Roleplay should be a reaction, not an excuse. But, maybe
I'm being to picky?
