So, summing up what I've read so far, maybe it wasn't such a great idea. However, making everyone aligned to a region seems good. It would also make a ton of code easier, and I think we should go that way. Everyone belongs to a region (yes, even the ruler), always. That way, we can bring estates more into the game as well.
