Subject: [Discuss] Priest game, revisited

I had one "small" change that I wondered about, as a way of making the priest role more desirable.

I have a character who I would make a priest, except that the last time I had one, he seemed to be wounded close to 50% of the time. Partly from infils, but largely from preaching.

First - Is that normal at the beginning, or only when he works in areas where the other (evil?) religions are strong? If he starts out close to home and stays for a while, will he be more likely to be okay?

======================================================

Assuming that their getting wounded that much IS a normal thing, my idea:

Allow wounded priests to continue to read and write messages, but not gain any hours, while wounded. We just say he's "bed-ridden".

Reason: This is for me personally, I guess, but I would become a priest for the role playing. The game mechanics side isn't very interesting, but the role playing can be. Except if I'm wounded 50% of the time, then being a priest equals: dull mechanics and half the role play. My knights don't get wounded/imprisoned that frequently, so it seems kind of harsh.

Thoughts?

I would like to see some sort of change on this as well. I have a priest character as well and it really is a class that spends more time wounded then any other class I've played...
