[Discuss] feedback on marshal system

I have recently heard that EC will not change.
I think that EC is great. I will not outline you the reasons as different players seek different things. There are different realms that offer different advantages and disadvantages. 

The reason though why I post this message is to give Tom some feedback regarding the new system from a point of view of someone that plays BM as a strategy game with some aspects of RP.

I will just say that I take this chance to state that in Perdan we are trying to adopt to the new system, although sometimes it needs that some people will have to be a bit more planned/active than before. I am sure that when the 2IC will be able to give orders this issue might be resolved.

I already told you my critisism on the new system (less lightweight game, defencemaster mode etc) I consider myself a strategy player, and maybe this is why I tried to check the system both in terms of functionality and efficiency apart from diagnose if it promotes a more lightweight game or not. My results are inconclusive still, as we have to let some time to pass and realms to adopt.

Perdan is trying to do what the new system is about to a certain extend. General gives a general plan and goals to be achieved every day or more (if the plan is a more general one like protect the southern borders, TO this region, etc) and then shares the goals to each army. If we get the 2IC to be functioning nicely (and solve the issue of settings and what happens if someone is injured and a battle behind walls follows a battle without walls, etc)

If someone is not available the general might make a request to his army, but i hope that when the 2ic position works nicely this might not be needed.

Lastly i should remind one of you that said that this is an RP game with only some aspects of strategy that he is wrong. This is either an RP game with some aspects of strategy, or a strategy game with some aspects of RP. It depends what you like and what you enjoy playing. The game offers both packages.
