That may be the case but then that is the way they choose to spend their
time and money.  Not every nobleman was an expert with a sword in real
life, nor should it be here in BM.  Long ago I choose to send just
enough money to my family to allow me to invest in a region if I needed
to and the rest I spent on units or on training.  If somebody else felt
the desire to amass 10,000 gold in a family fortune good for them but
I'm sure going to enjoy giving them a beat down in a duel.  Or, perhaps
they spend some of that gold to buy my protection...
