No, but you actually chose it. You chose an old character to retire
and a somewhat new adventurer to delete. This is part of what I said
is not 100% of the cases. The people who decided to delete their
characters to go into Dwilight decided to make an OOC sacrifice, and I
don't know how they did it, but there are characters that can't just
retire or die. I couldn't possibly delete Ilya today, unless I make an
unrealistic twist. She is young, she is strong, she is newly-wed.
Vanya could die from the drowning of the island, her history is
actually short, but what if my character in SEI was Lek? (check
rp-list for details) Though the storyline is allowed to change, there
are key things that could make it just plain bad.

I am not against your specific action, but saying "I deleted 2 chars
of mine, I made a real sacrifice, so do the same to prove you're
committed to DWI" is absurd, in my opinion. There is a good chance
they sacrificed a bit of the BM IC spirit with it.

This is a good point: it shouldn't matter. Who wants to delete the
whole account to play on DWI, go and delete it. Though they might
(might) not be the people I'd like to play with... they may also be
very compromised and make the environment fun. On the other hand,
people who are waiting for the day in which their characters can
emigrate, who are committed to their chars and families enough not to
delete them vainly should also be allowed. Specially if they also came
up with a good rp reason for emigrating.

Of course not, specially if it is included in the storyline.
But people are discussing about forcing people to do that so they can
join the new island. It's a different story.

And I just saw Märt's message. :P You can close the topic if you want. :)
