I think bonds can actually add to the island on its beginning. Add
flavour, add power struggles... If everyone just met, it'll take a
while longer to get the island moving, the wheel of fate running. The
characters arrive with a history, with better formed personalities,
people are already used to playing them and RP them around other
people... I just feel it adds dept to the roleplay.
