[Discuss] Problems with region maintenance?

"Why's everyone so fixated on 100% perfect region stats? I don't get 
it.
If I were to code this game all over again, I'd change the mechanics so
that behind-the-scenes it's a logarithmic scale and going above 90% is
damn hard, just to make people realize that 90% is perfectly ok."

Even without region control or any other benefits I'd have to say it's 
just a natural reaction. You see that the maximum is there, 
instinctively you want to reach it. Sure 90% is good, but 98% is 
better, let's get to 98%. 98% is nice, but 100% would be even better, 
let's get to 100%. That's humanity for you :P
