I can't even imagine how much time you're wasting complaining about
all the time you're wasting.
Here's a thought, plan your military campaigns *with* your marshals.
Obviously, you need to now what they're up to, what kind of shape
they're army is in, if they'll even be ready to move out when you put
your plan into action...
During the planning stages, its not really necessary to have anyone on
at any given time, as its just a discussion, and once its set in
stone, you just say "alright, go to it!" and the marshals can give
however many turns worth of orders, depending on how often they
predict they're going to be logged on.
I really don't see how hard that is, and I really don't see why you
assume this is going to bring BattleMaster crashing down around our
ears.
How many times do you have to hear "Lower Your Expectations" before
you get it through your commendably stubborn head? If you didn't
realize yet, the changes don't apply to JUST YOU and no one else.
They apply to your enemies as well. EVERYONE is going through the
same communication issues that you are, and the ones who pull through
it with success are the ones who spent the time adapting and learning
how to streamline communication rather than whining the D-List about
how hard it is to keep micromanaging with their generals.
