It's true though that there are a lot of dumb character names, and  
it's true that they make roleplaying rather ... difficult at times.   
Most players with idiotic family names who stick around long enough  
quietly get rid of the old characters and create new ones with more  
appropriate names.  It's just a little more obvious who they were now  
that family names are public.

It's a shame it's not possible to allow them to change family names;  
I bet that a number of them would gladly do so.  (It'd be a good new  
use for the Titans, too, to adjudicate that sort of thing)
