There are many who would just flame you OOC in private if you asked  
them to be more careful with their language.  I've had first-hand  
experience with this.

Well, I'm sorry you feel that way, but that is *not* what the option  
means.  It's not easy to abuse it for that, either.

If you click on the "vulgarity" link (don't worry, there's a  
confirmation link before it does anything), it specifically says that  
it is to judge the *manner* of speech, *not* the content.

Vulgarity reports are not just given to the realm: they're given to  
people all over the continent, according to evidence given by various  
people on this list a few months ago.

I won't say that the system is perfect, nor that your fears are  
totally unfounded, but I *do* think they are overblown.
