OK, so what if it was going to the Barony of Makar and saying that
Vikings were all dishonourable pigs who deserved to burn in <insert
appropriate analogue to Hell>? Or, heck, what if you've got 25
people from Ikalak in a region with one person from Taselak, and they
decide to get together and reduce his honour so far he can't recruit?
I don't care *what* someone says; *NOTHING* should let a realm decide
to reduce someone's honour to *ZERO*. Zilch. Nothing. Which would
be possible with the system you propose.
And yes, I can tell you with 100% certainty that you have too much
faith in the community. If there are holes and exploits, there are
more than enough jerks in the game that they *will* find them. And
they will use them. That's why we have the Titans--but the system
you propose is so full of holes that the Titans would be occupied
full-time handing out warnings, temporary locks, and lightning bolts
to groups of people abusing the duel feature to reduce the honour of
their enemies and other people they don't like.
Rule #1 when coming up with new features: think of how it could be
abused.

I just think it's rather odd that a nation that prides itself on its
virility should feel compelled to strap on forty pounds of protective
gear just in order to play rugby.
