She isn't able.  That's the whole point.

But what is bothering you is that this repercussion is not "dying in the
hands of your character".

If your banker character is not losing honour nor prestige for plain mean
lying, then neither should mine for refusing to duel against her brother.


I have already given reasons you can avoid it "honourably".  Simply move

My character believes running from a duel is even more dishonourable than
rejecting it in the first place.

And a few points of prestige/honour is not a big thing, but if you add that
to being a failed rebel leader, and joining a new realm, well... they add up
to too many points.

And people cannot insult whoever they choose without consequence, neither in
the game nor in real life.  As I said, your problem is that it's not the
consequence you wanted.


I am sorry that you dislike having to play a noble.



If I disliked playing a noble, I wouldn't be playing Battlemaster.  I like
playing my characters the way I want to, not the way you tell me to.
