You don't think it's an abuse that they could reduce his honour to  
NOTHING just for an insult (real or imagined) to someone they care  
about?

Go to Sirion and start talking about how disgusting elves are, and  
see how easy it is to make a whole realm dislike you.

As for being in the same place, large battles are very good at  
bringing whole realms (or nearly so) into one region.

And yes, this *is* an extreme case, which should go to the Titans.   
However, to lesser degree, it could be far too easily practiced on a  
very wide scale for the Titans to be able to keep up with it.
