Good grief, have you been listening to anything I said?

No, it's not about whether you can obtain a title.  It's about your  
honour.  Or lack thereof.  And it seems pretty clear that it is the  
perceptions of the whole continent that determine your honour.

I said it before, but apparently you ignored it.

These are nobles.  They pay attention to what other nobles do and say  
(and wear, and eat, etc).  Not just nearby, but everywhere.  It's  
what they do; it's practically their reason for living.

If you are playing a character that a majority of the continent finds  
dishonourable, you WILL lose honour.

That's the way it *should* be.

If you don't like it, *tough*.  As Tom has said many times, make your  
own game.
